Visit Status Meanings
Overview
Ankota visit statuses determines both its functionality and, to a certain extent, the visit's chronology. See below for further details on visit statuses.
Statuses
- Pending – status that can be used if caregiver is not assigned
- Booked – status indicating data received from a third party sending visits; can be used manually
- Scheduled – core status. Visits must be scheduled in order to be viewed by caregivers on their schedules, to use Find Matching Workers, and to use Available Shifts.
- Rescheduled – functionally the same as scheduled, but used when waiting to hear from caregiver or client (manual adjustment)
- Arrived – core status. Visits which are clocked into are Arrived.
- Departure – also known as Rework. This is a frequently used status where caregivers have clocked out incompletely. While typically used for Rework, in a handful of environments it’s used for incomplete clockouts.
- Closed – core status. Visits which are clocked into and out of (whether manually or by EVV) are Closed.
- Canceled – core status. Visits which are recorded (not deleted) in Ankota but which have no EVV status, and are removed from Scheduled functionality (cannot be clocked into/out of, etc.), are Canceled.
- In transit – rarely used status primarily for impending arrival of supplies or caregiver
- On Hold – core status. Visits which are “paused” are On Hold. Caregivers cannot clock in or out unless they have the On Hold Manual Caregiver Closure option turned on.
- Committed - status indicating data received from a third party sending visits; can be used manually
- Open – not intended as a true status; a way of saying “show all visits which are NOT closed or cancelled”
- No Show – core status. Caregivers who have clocked in only to find their clients did not show up can report No Show.
- Unassigned – collection of statuses that can be used if caregiver is not assigned; however, because this can be assigned even if a caregiver is assigned, it is not recommended as a regularly assigned status
- Backorder - rarely used status primarily for inability to deliver; usually used when there is not a caregiver
- Reassigned - Rarely used status; equivalent to Assigned, but differentiated for visual tracking.
- Assigned – Rarely used status; equivalent to Scheduled, but without the ability to be viewed by caregivers in any way (on calendars or in Available Shifts) and unable to work with Find Matching Workers.
Rare statuses can typically be used for alternate purposes if desired by the agency. Rare statuses may not work with all 2020+ features.
