Legacy Mobile App
Overview
Currently, Ankota's new mobile app training is available on the unique caregiver HelpSite, ankotacaregiver.helpsite.com. For the legacy mobile app, this article will walk you through its functions and options.
NOTE: The Legacy App (Web Mobile) is no longer recommended. Please have your caregivers use the Ankota Caregiver Mobile App or Telephony/IVR.
The following sections are included in this article:
- Saving the Mobile App Shortcut
- Using the Mobile App
- Troubleshooting the Mobile App
- GPS Failures with the Mobile App
Saving the Mobile App Shortcut
For iPhone
Go to ankota.net/(your organization). Click on the box with up arrow at the bottom of the screen.
Click Add to Home Screen.
Rename the link to your organization's name and click Add.
You will be able to click on this icon from your home screen and log in easily for every visit.
For Android
Go to ankota.net/(your organization's name).
Click on the three dots at the upper right side of the screen, then click on the option to Add to Home Screen.
Click on "Add."
You will be able to click on this icon from your home screen and log in easily for every visit.
Using the Mobile App
Go to a browser on your phone (e.g., Android, iPhone, etc. but also works on a computer or tablet) and go to Ankota.net/(Organization abbreviation).
Log in with the same numeric ID and PIN that you use for EVV telephony. You'll then see your visits for today.
If you click on the name of the consumer/client, you'll see their name and phone number and you can get directions.
If you want to see your upcoming schedule, click on Show Visits for other days.
You can also use this app to clock in and clock out for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). Click Report Arrival. The first time that you do this, the app will ask you to share your location. PLEASE ALLOW THIS. Otherwise, EVV will not be possible.
It will tell list the time to clock out to complete a full shift.
The system will also display tasks.
At the end of the visit, departures can be reported.
A warning will be issued if the caregiver clocks out too early.
Tasks can be reported through the drop-down lists.
Notes can also be added. Be sure to click Save.
After the thank-you message, click OK.
At this point, the visit will no longer show up on the menu. Clients will disappear as they are completed.
Troubleshooting the Mobile App
If the caregiver is having trouble logging in, please take the following steps:
- Check the caregiver's log-in credentials. Are they using the correct numbers? (The legacy app uses the same information as the telephony clock-in/out.)
- Check the browser. You may need to clear the cache or switch browsers.
GPS Failures with the Mobile App
If your staff is having difficulty clocking in to the legacy mobile app (ankota.net/[your organization ID]) on their phones but they clearly have signal, check the following guides to walk them through allowing GPS for Ankota. In particular, it may be helpful to set an exception for Ankota in the caregiver's phone settings.
