Adjustments

For agencies where the fee will vary monthly based on services rendered, they may prefer a standard unbilled ($0.00) visit type called Personal Support Services. At the end of the month, based on care plan items performed or other measurements, an agency will total up services and add a single line-item adjustment associated with the client and the visit type, as in the example below. For more on billing adjustments, see Adjustments.

Monthly Single Visit

Monthly billable visits are usually for additional subscription services in addition to regular billable visit types. For example,

This is typically for an additional layer of services provided by more experienced, trained, or certified caregivers. Note these visits can be pre-scheduled and pre-approved so that they can be billed in advance if needed.

Monthly Combo Visits

Monthly visits with both billable and unbillable services are one of the most popular options. This is typically for larger subscription services that may have multiple additional unbillable visit types under their umbrella.

For example, they may have an Elite/Tier 1 subscription for $10,000/month where the client receives any/all services within a 24-hour service window and is popular for customers requiring live-in caregivers. Tier 2 might be $8,000 but only provide less skilled workers, Tier 3 might be services only within an 8-5 window, etc. Then a variety of unbillable services could be scheduled so that agencies can track payable hours.

Here are some additional examples:

With this option, agencies often provide a completed end-of-month summary to their clients after the month's end to show them the value of their subscription and services received.
