Caregiver Training Information

Overview

Caregivers need support during their transition to Ankota, so Ankota supplies many resources. These resources are housed in the Caregiver Resources HelpSite, which is a separate site from the administrative site you are reading now.

If you would like more information on the mobile app (and mobile app options) from an administrator's perspective, see The Ankota Caregiver Mobile App - Admin Perspective.

In addition to those resources, we have provided a template email about the transition to Ankota for caregivers below, which you can edit as needed. Be sure to read and follow the directions prior to using the template. It is only a generic template, and it will require editing to match your company's needs.

Template Directions

If you wish to use the template email, we recommend editing the template email below as follows:

Remember to request your list of telephony ID numbers and attach it to this email before sending it out, assuming you are using the telephony "1234" and mobile app "abc.1234" format which Ankota recommends. You may also wish to attach a simple guide (attachment options below). Most importantly, this is only a generic template. Your state and company practices can and will vary from generic ones, so please carefully review and edit this draft before sending.

Template Attachments

You may wish to attach a streamlined walkthrough in your email. Select the one that applies.

Template Email

Dear Team,

All the information you need for the new clock-in system is in this email, including log-in information & links to training. Please read this carefully and let me know if you have any questions.

We’re getting ready to make the transition to the new Ankota system of electronic visit verification (EVV). Our goal date to begin using this system is DATE

Every day, you’ll clock in and out of your scheduled visit(s). You can do this through telephony (a phone call, where you hear a voice walking you through the clock-in and clock-out) or the Ankota Caregiver mobile app (an app you can use on your smart phone). Remember, your clock-in/clock-out is the basis for our billing and your pay, so you’ll want to clock in at the start and clock out at the end of every visit to get paid for the full time you were there.

To use the mobile app option, download this app from your app store and use it at the start and finish of your visit. Your user name is YOURCOMPANYANKOTANAME + (your user ID). Your user ID is provided in this email. Your password will be the word “password” the first time you log in. A mobile app walkthrough is here. Our preferred option is using the mobile app.

To use the telephony option, call the phone number at ###-###-#### when you start and finish your visit. Your user ID is provided in this email. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your social security number. A telephony walkthrough is here.

A few important notes:

Please read through the training guides that are linked above and let us know if you have any questions. If you’d like a shorter reminder list, the attached walkthrough may be of help as well. We’re excited about this transition!
